Clark County injury report

The mavens wish a speedy recovery to Clark County Administrator Bill Barron after he took a fall off a ladder over the weekend.

Barron gets points in the stoic department for showing up to present the county’s proposed 2013-14 budget on Monday afternoon regardless of his ailments.

There is no official word from Clark County, but if this were a sports team I think it would be safe to list Barron as “probable” for the week’s remaining public hearings.

By all accounts it’s the ladder that got the worst of the ordeal, but Barron did share that he injured his left foot and cracked a few ribs in the fall.

Barron is shrugging off the incident, saying, “I should have had someone holding the ladder.”

Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart also showed up to govern on Monday despite having his wisdom teeth removed last week.

Stuart was active in the day’s discussions. After the meeting he said he’s suffering no complications from the procedure.

I’ll list him as day-to-day, only because I want to end this blog with a nod to Dodgers announcer Vin Scully who says of day-to-day players: “But then again, aren’t we all?”
