Clark County Public Works Director Pete Capell donned the green garb of shame during a meeting of Clark County commissioners Tuesday morning.

The gear was the result of a losing bet with public works spokesman Jeff Mize. Capell chose his own alma mater, Oregon State, to defeat Mize’s Ducks in last Saturday’s Civil War.

The Ducks bested the Beavers 48-24.

Look upon him and see his sorrow:

Yeah, he’s not too upset.

Or maybe he’s getting used to it. The Ducks have proven the victors in the past five meetings.

Despite Tuesday’s dire circumstance, Capell says he’s looking to the future of his program. A future where Mize is forced to attend a county meeting in orange and black.

“The program is turning around,” Capell said. “There’s always next year.”

There was no noticeable crimson and gray at the public meeting. But I’ll update the story if I hear of any Apple Cup shaming.
