Summer Rolls On
Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July holiday. First off, a special “congrats” to the new Mr. & Mrs. Mark & Katie Andrews from Vancouver, WA. who tied the knot on the 4th. Ok, enough with the plugs, now back to the weather. Not much to write about as summer rolls on. A large ridge of high pressure is anchored over the inner mountain west. The Pacific Northwest is on the very edge of the ridge which means that we have been influenced by low clouds each morning for the past few days. Today will be the last of the cool days with high temps in the mid-70’s across the Portland / Vancouver area. The ridge will begin to build a little closer to the Pacific Northwest this weekend which means the onshore flow will abate and allow temperatures to increase under fewer morning clouds. No signs of any really hot weather coming anytime soon and no rain either. We are now going on 16+ days without rainfall. But after all, it is the dry season in the Pacific Northwest. The rains will return soon enough, so get outside and enjoy it while you can.
Here are my forecast high temperatures for Portland / Vancouver over the next few days:
Friday – 75
Saturday – 80
Sunday – 85
Monday – 87
Tuesday – 90
Wednesday – 84
Stay tuned!
