Some Like It Hot
Some like it hot, right? The weather that is! If you like your weather on the warm and sunny side, this is going to be your week. Get outside and enjoy something we have not seen around these parts since last fall. This week is shaping up to be just about perfect across most of the Pacific Northwest. Afternoon high temperatures will range between 65-75 degrees through at least Thursday. The warmest day of the week at this point looks to be Wednesday when temps will peak in the mid-70’s. This is the time of year where the evenings are getting longer with plenty of light until nearly 9 pm on clear nights. Records for Portland and Vancouver are all near or above 80 for the next few days. I don’t expect that we will break any records locally, but it will be close on Wednesday if we get just enough offshore (easterly) flow just above the surface. We have been as warm as 90 degrees in the month of April, set back in 1998. Definitely no sign of that kind of heat coming anytime soon. Let’s all make sure to get outside this week and soak up some of this great sunny spring weather. It is good for the body and the mind. Temperatures will cool by the end of the week, with more clouds. There is still plenty of time to revise that forecast, so let’s just focus on the good stuff for now! Make it a great day!
Stay tuned!
