Weather Calendars & Snow Tonight?
A quick post this afternoon. First up, several people have asked about snow today and tonight in the Portland / Vancouver area. The answer is pretty easy, no. The column of air above us is simply to warm. Looks like any flakes will stay above 1,500ft and/or the Columbia River Gorge. Sorry kids, looks like you won’t miss any more school in 2011. School is out as of this Friday for the winter break. But keep your hopes up, we have a long ways to go this winter. Speaking of winter, I have some interesting climate stats that I will be releasing Friday morning that will shed some light on just what is happening to our La Nina. Is she taking a vacation or will she come back with a vengeance just after Christmas? Stay tuned!
