Portland Sets Weather Record
Was it wet enough for you yesterday? Well check this one out. The Portland International Airport recorded 2.35″ of precipitation yesterday (Tuesday) which smashes the previous daily record for November 22nd of 1.07″ set in 1979. Yesterday’s rainfall at the Portland International Airport was also the 5th wettest November calendar day in Portland Airport history. Additionally, it was the 9th wettest calendar day in Portland airport history, when taking into account any day in the calendar year.” Records date back to 1940 at the airport. Here is a list of the wettest single calendar days in Portland Airport history greater than 2.00″ (period of record is 1940-2011) —
