Week 12 Roundup: How Clark County players fared

Colorado State

Garrett Grayson, Heritage, Sr. QB — Colorado State had a bye week, but it was still a big week for Grayson. The senior was notified that he’s considered a “legitimate Heisman contender” by the Heisman Trust. Also, the 9-1 Rams moved to No. 22 in the Associated Press rankings.

Central Washington

Jesse Zalk, Prairie, So. WR — Had eight catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 40-27 win over Simon Fraser.

Zalk’s longest TD catch went for 84 yards on the opening play of the fourth quarter.

“I just tried to put a move on the safety and then got inside of him,” Zalk. “Jake (Nelson) made a great pass. I made one guy miss and then just tried to run as fast as I could.”

Zalk also had an 11-yard touchdown grab and three kickoff returns for a total of 72 yards, the longest being 39 yards.

Kevin Haynes, Battle Ground, Fr.* LB — Had a team-high eight tackles, six of which were solo.

Josh Stolz, Mountain View, So. OL — Started at left guard for an offense that gained 530 yards of offense.
Gabe Rego, Union, So. LB — Played, but did not record a tackle.
Kaben Humphrey-Butler, Union, So. WR — Did not play.
Tyler Grant, Prairie, Fr. OL — Did not play.

Eastern Oregon

John Payne, Camas, So.* DB — Had four tackles, including two for loss, as Eastern upset Southern Oregon 31-27 on the road. The Mountaineers moved up to No. 15 in the NAIA national poll.

Jonathan Branson, Columbia River, Fr. Ath — Did not play.
Jayson Branson, Columbia River, Fr., Combo — Played in a backup role.

Mitch Saylor, Union, Sr. TE — Had one catch for nine yards in Montana’s 35-17 win over Southern Utah.

Jess Krahn, Hockinson, Fr. QB — Had his best game thus far, throwing for 379 yards and five touchdowns in the Lights’ 44-41 win over Rocky Mountain College

Jed Barnett, Union, Sr. P — Punted two times, each for 33 yards, in Oklahoma’s 42-30 win over Texas Tech.

Oregon State

Drew Clarkson, Camas, Fr. OL — Did not play. He is on track to redshirt this season.

Portland State

Kieran McDonagh, Skyview, Jr. QB — Did not play in the Vikings 48-41 loss to Sacramento State.

Austin Dodge, Skyview, Sr., QB — The NAIA’s all-time leading passer completed 24 of 38 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns in Southern Oregon’s 31-27 loss to Eastern Oregon. He also rushed for a 1-yard touchdown and threw an interception.
Dylan Bratlie, Skyvew, Jr. OL — Started on the line for an offense that gained 442 yards.
Max Proudfit, Union, Jr. OL — Started on the offensive line.
