Colorado State

Garrett Grayson, Heritage, Sr. QB —Threw for five touchdowns Saturday in a 45-31 win over Wyoming.

The senior now leads Colorado State in career touchdown passes with 53, passing Moses Moreno, and completions with 587, breaking the mark set by Kelly Stouffer in 1986.

Grayson completed his first 13 passes of the game and finished 18 of 21 for 390 yards passing. He had first-half scoring passes of 21 yards to Dee Hart, 65 yards to Joe Hansley and 43 yards to Rashard Higgins as Colorado State won its sixth game in a row to improve to 7-1 on the season.

“Early on in my career I wasn’t thinking about that, especially with how I played early on,” Grayson said. “But this year, everyone knew where I stood. I knew where I stood. But I was always going to stay inside myself. Anytime you start thinking about records, it takes you out of your game.”
