Timbers midfielders Jack Jewsbury, Sal Zizzo to share soccer with medically fragile children Wednesday
WHAT: Portland Timbers midfielders Jack Jewsbury and Sal Zizzo will visit children and families at the Center for Medically Fragile Children at Providence Child Center on Wednesday to participate in soccer-related activities as part of the center’s day camp program Camp PLAY.
The Center for Medically Fragile Children at Providence Child Center is a long-term care nursing facility for kids with chronic health conditions. The visit by Jewsbury and Zizzo comes during Sports Extravaganza Week for Camp PLAY, a special program designed to meet the unique needs of the residents and provides them with typical childhood experiences.
WHEN: Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
WHERE: Center for Medically Fragile Children at Providence Child Center, 830 NE 47th Ave., Portland, OR 97213
Parking is available in the parking garage located off NE 47th Ave. or in the front lot of Providence Child Center. The lobby for the Providence Child Center is accessible at the turn around in the front parking lot.
