Training Today with Portland Timbers – 13 July, 2012

I had the opportunity to attend my first Portland Timbers training session at the Beaverton facility today.

As it was my first session I did not request any interviews but instead observed and listened to get a feel for the activities.

As time passes I will begin to conduct interviews to gain a better understanding of the coaches, players and their thoughts about football in general as well as specifics that can be discussed leading up to, or resulting from a game. On future visits I will also try to ask at least one question related to youth football; not sure how that will take shape yet.

I would like to thank the staff; in particular, Chris Metz and Marc Kostic for making me feel welcome and helping me get an idea of where and when things occur to support those folks who report on Timbers activities.

Bottom Line: Very friendly atmosphere!
