Thorns adapt without National Team talent.

Today at home the thorns are without 4 regular starters.

 

Alex Morgan and Rachel Buehler are away with the US Woman’s National Team, playing against a Canadian National team that includes Christine Sinclair and Karina LeBlanc.

 

for the changes we will start at the back,

In place of LeBlanc, getting her first start of the season is former Portland State University goalkeeper Cris Lewis.

 

In the absence of Buehler, Nikki Marshall has come inside from Left Back to start at Left Center Back.

In at Left Back comes Jazmyne Avant.

 

In the midfield, Becky Edwards retains her place as the Defensive Midfielder.  Angie Kerr comes into the game at left midfield.  Allie Long has come central to replace Christine Sinclair as the attacking mid, and Courtney Wetzel has come in to start on the right.

 

Up top Mana Shim retains her starting spot and Danielle Foxhoven gets a start next to her.
