The loyal opposition
Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, has never been shy about voicing her opinions on Facebook.
But this session, she’s joined forces with Democratic Rep. Jim Moeller, who I think it’s safe to say is her political opposite, to strike a more positive tone.
Each week the lawmakers take to Facebook to highlight an admirable bill sponsored by a member of the opposite party.
She praised Rep. Reuven Carlyle’s, D-Seattle, measure that would prohibit state officials from lobbying or influencing those involved in state government within a year of leaving service.
Moeller said so far the effort has lasted about three weeks and he’s optimistic the postings from the “loyal opposition” will continue.
