Product Review: Robbie's All Natural & Guilt Free Hickory Barbeque Sauce

Initial Thoughts: As I’ve shared before, barbeque sauce is a huge deal in our house. It is one of the few must have condiments in my refrigerator at all times. Needless to say, everyone was excited to try Robbie’s All Natural & Guilt Free Hickory Barbque Sauce that claimed to have “Old Fashioned Smokehouse Flavor” on the front of the bottle.

Packaging and Size: Perfect, just as with Robbie’s other products that I’ve had the pleasure to try and review. A glass bottle containing 18 ounces, with clear labeling. Just what I like and look for in a product I’m looking to purchase.

Flavor: The flavor of this sauce is similar to Robbie’s Original Barbeque Sauce that I reviewed last week, but does have a wonderful hickory flavor added to it. I have the same issues with this version, but still find that it has it’s place and would bring awesome flavor to chicken especially!

Serving Suggestions: This sauce is great used as you would any barbeque sauce. The label suggested adding it to your burgers, something that I think would be amazing! It also suggests adding it to meatloaf, shish-kabobs, veggie burgers, poultry, seafood and vegetables. I couldn’t agree more! This sauce would also be great as a french fry dipping sauce or on a BBQ chicken pizza.

Overall Review: While I have slight issues with the flavor of this sauce, I think it would be really good used as suggested. I think my first choice would be chicken, but could also see it being added to burgers or meatloaf. It’s not always easy to find a good bottled sauce that doesn’t have preservatives and all of the other things we work so hard to avoid.

I love the fact that Robbie’s products are made with 100% natural ingredients, are low in calories and sodium, are cholesterol and fat free, contain no high fructose corn syrup and are gluten-free.
