Look outside, what do you see? Perhaps a few leaves here and there sporting a new golden or red color, a soft breeze blowing, maybe even a rain shower? It’s official, fall is here! With that change in the season brings those fragrant, crisp fall mornings that just beg for a cozy sweater and a cup of hot tea, cider or coffee. Honestly, fall is one of my favorite seasons. What comes to mind when you think of fall? For me, fall means crisp mornings, beautiful color, and amazing aromas from both candles and my kitchen. Freshly baked pumpkin and zucchini bread, apple pie and hot apple cider simmering on the stove. Caramel apples, spice cake and cinnamon raisin bread.

Another thing that comes to mind is a steamy bowl of oatmeal. Not just any oatmeal, mind you but one that is loaded with dried cranberries, chunks of apple and bursting with flavor. Gling has an amazing baked oatmeal recipe with everything I crave and the tang of buttermilk. I know, it sounds a bit odd. The tang of the buttermilk makes the flavors just pop, trust me!

Of course there are always the muffins loaded with fall flavors. Muffins are a favorite in my house, any time of year. Fall brings on the craving for muffins loaded with pumpkin, apples, carrots and zucchini. Pair a tasty fall muffin with a cup of tea or cider and you’ve got a tasty breakfast on any fall morning.

Coffee drinkers have a tasty treat that they can enjoy this time of year too! Pumpkin coffee creamer is super easy to make and amazing in your morning cup of coffee. No need to buy the chemical laden creamers when they are as easy as this to create at home in minutes. So tasty!

Embrace these brisk fall mornings and celebrate all of the flavors of this amazing time of year. Be adventurous, try something new. You may find that you really do love the flavors of fall after all. For those of you that know how much you love them but haven’t started enjoying these amazing flavors….get busy, fall officially started weeks ago. What are you waiting for?
