Visit the Ridgefield Refuge
There are great views along the Ridgefield National Wildlife auto tour route.
During this season, you will see many bird species busy on the Refuge. Come for the Auto Tour and your car functions as your bird blind, ensuring that birds will stand or fly near you for excellent viewing and photographing opportunities. Birds become accustomed to our slow-moving cars, and will not as quickly fly away. Remember to stay in your car each October 1 – April 30, when this bird activity is at its peak!
You can pick up the route in Ridgefield along Hillhurst about the 1100 block. It’s a 4.2 mile round trip.
