This Friday, November 1, will be the gala artists’ reception at VOCA, 906 Harney Street in downtown Vancouver. This is a preview of the Clark County Studio tour, which will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10, all over the county. The 50 artists who are in the studio tour will be on hand at VOCA to talk about their work and give you an idea of the wide range of art that will be available on the studio tour. I’ll be there with my new painting, ‘A Walk in Lincoln Park.’
The preview is part of Vancouver’s First Friday event: all the downtown galleries will be open, and a free bus will loop through the area all evening, so you can park near VOCA, view the show, talk to the artists and then see several other galleries, all in one night. VOCA will be open from 5 to 9:00.
You can also pick up the tour guide for the studio tour, and mark the names of the artists whose studios you would like to tour the next weekend.
Be sure to mark numbers 35-39, as there will be five artists from Ridgefield at Bruce Crockett’s workshop. I’ll be there, along with Bruce, Marilyn Hocking, Beth Kitselman, and Patricia Thompson. I’ll have a full complement of original watercolor paintings, and a SHOW SPECIAL, selling 11×14” matted prints for $16. What a bargain! Normal price is $25.
Come and enjoy the fun, both at the artists’ reception and the studio tour. I’ll look for you!
