The Ridgefield High School Speech and Debate team will host their fourth annual Sweet Talking event on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the RHS Commons. Sweet Talking is an evening of some delicious desserts and some entertaining speeches by the team that has won seven consecutive district trophies, boasts of two state champions at this year’s speech tournament, captured two second-place team trophies at state this year (competing against AAA and AAAA schools), and is delighted to be sending three students to the national tournament in Birmingham, Alabama, in June. Throughout the evening, attendees will hear well-crafted and delivered speeches and savor at least three courses of desserts.
