Congratulations to the following people, who won awards at the Ridgefield Art Association show:
Three Honorable Mentions for three dimensional work: Cyndi Rivers for ‘Green Leaf Set,’ Patricia Thompson for ‘Raven’, and Bruce Crockett for ‘Apple with Worm Hole.’ Third Prize in three dimensional work went to Lara Tetz for ‘Firescape,’ Second Prize to Bill Bishop for ‘Pintail Hen Duck,’ and First Prize to Ric Knox for Turned ‘Vessel.’
In the two dimensional contest, there were also three Honorable Mentions: Cheryl Hazen for ‘Trout,’ Marj Casswell, and Kathy Winters for ‘Ridgefield Kayak Boathouse.’ Third Prize in two dimensional work went to Ron Jones for ‘Accoladic Arch,’ Second Prize to Beth Kitselman for ‘Tree of Life,’ and First Prize to Chris Bidleman for ‘Owl.’
The show continues Saturday, opening at 9:00 am at the Community Center, 210 North Main Avenue in Ridgefield. Come down and see the show, chat with the artists, vote on the People’s Choice, and bid on the Silent Auction. Money from the Silent Auction goes to fund the $1000 scholarship given to a Ridgefield student graduating this year with an interest in the arts.
