Join us at the Cathlapotle Plankhouse in Ridgefield on July 8 at 2pm as we welcome herbalist and educator Judy BlueHorse Skelton who will be presenting Traditional Medicinal Uses of Plants along the Lower Columbia River.
Judy BlueHorse Skelton (Nez Perce/Cherokee), MA, has worked with federal and state Indian education programs throughout the northwest for 18 years, creating cultural activities focusing on traditional and contemporary uses of native plants for food, medicine, ceremony, and healthy lifeways.
She is an author and a faculty member at Portland State University, where she teaches Environmental Education through Native American Lenses, Learning Gardens & Civic Affairs and Leadership for Sustainability.
