Salmon Eggs Planted in Gee Creek
Paul Snoey took this photo yesterday afternoon. He received 50,000 fish for Gee Creek on Saturday February 13th. When he checked the incubator later a single small fish had emerged, so in the next few days the rest should hatch. They will spend the next month or more in the incubator. Last year we only had 10,000 eggs, so we should have many more fish this year. The site is very close to downtown ridgefield, so this spring people should see many of these little fish in the creek at Abrams Park. Even at a very small size they dart for cover if they see any movement.
