The City of Ridgefield is encouraging citizens of all ages to join their neighbors in its first Service Day on Saturday, February 22, to improve our community. Volunteer for a City project; assist the Friends of the Refuge; look for a non-profit organization that needs help; or choose your own service project.
9:00 – 2:00 Bring canned/boxed food or gently used coats, blankets and other clothing to the Community Center, or 9:00 at Overlook Park. Everything will be donated to a local charitable organization.
9:00 AM: Volunteer!
Current City Projects include:
Assisting with a Disc Golf Course at Abram’s Park. Bring rakes, chain saws, trimmers, etc.
Helping to spruce up the Ridgefield Community Center
Painting at the Ridgefield Police Department
Assisting with books at the Ridgefield Library
1:00 PM: Volunteer Recognition celebration lunch at the Community Center.
