Ridgefield High students, under the direction of drama teacher Bob Meek, are staging Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ as part of the Fall Festival of Shakespeare.
Assistant Director Connie Bushnell said the play is modern and minimalist, with the cast dressed in suits, ties and prom dresses. The forest fairies look like they’re made out of trees and vines.
The play will be performed at the Winningstad Theater, 1111 SW Broadway in Vancouver, at 6:30 on Saturday, November 3. Ticket prices are $16.25 at the box office or $18.25 online. Visit portland-playhouse.org to learn more.
The play will also be performed at the high school on Friday, November 2. Tickets at the school are $7 for adults and $5 for students, seniors, and school staff.
Sounds like fun!
