The construction of the new Veterans Memorial next to the downtown fire station in Ridgefield is proceeding nicely. This is what it looked like this morning when I drove by. Concrete was to be poured in the forms this afternoon. That’s Bruce Crockett up on the one form, checking out everything before the trucks get there.
American Legion Post #44, which is spearheading the memorial, is selling bricks for $100 to help defray costs. You can take a check to Bob’s Automotive, or send money to the American Legion at 328B Pioneer Street, Ridgefield, WA 98642, if you want to participate.
