Eric Lawrence is part of a team that is running the Hood to Coast race. About a third of the team is from Ridgefield. Here’s what Eric has to say about the race:
I was hoping you could help me out by posting information about my fundraising efforts for my Hood to Coast Relay team to benefit the American Cancer Society. If you were downtown for the Ridgefield 4th of July you may have seen our booth for the raffle of the big pink pig BBQ. About a third of our team lives in the Ridgefield area so I thought it would be nice to try to get some local support. Our fundraising efforts are wrapping up at the end of July so I am trying to make one more big push.
#1 – I am trying to find out if any local businesses would be interested in donating some money in exchange for advertising space on our vans. If you don’t know, Hood to Coast is a fantastic relay race that takes runners from Timberline, through Portland, and all the way out to Seaside. I was planning on having magnetic signs made with each business’ logo that pledges support so they will get some very good advertising and could even hand out coupons/flyers for businesses throughout the race.
#2 – We are having a multi-family yard sale fundraiser this weekend and would love to get the word out to ensure a good showing. It will be held at my house in the Hillhurst subdivision at 1180 South 7th Circle on Sunday, July 29th, from 8am to 4pm. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Find great deals and support a tremendous cause.
We have everything from furniture to kids clothing, golf clubs to paintings, books, and much more! Items will be priced to sell. Come on over!
Good luck to Eric and his team!
