Take a Trip Around the World

Ridgefield resident Carol Pinnell will lead an interactive discussion of ethnic textiles and fine folk art traditions in a talk at the Ridgefield Community Center this Saturday, April 14, at 1:00, entitled ‘Take a Trip around the World.’

Carol has traveled to over 130 countries, collecting textiles and fascinating stories along the way. Attendees at the event are invited to bring a favorite piece of folk art to share and/or try to identify.

I heard Carol speak at the Clark County Historical Museum, and she has a delightful story to tell, plus many beautiful and rare examples of native art.

The Ridgefield Community Center is located at 210 North Main Avenue in downtown Ridgefield. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. It’s free, but there’s a suggested donation of $5 to help pay for the rental of the room. Information: 360-887-8281.
