Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!

Politicians love to run around saying that they are going to create jobs. It sounds good but do politicians really create jobs? I don’t think so! Jobs are created when wealth is increased. Government doesn’t create wealth, it exploits it. There are many politicians who never saw a tax they didn’t like; there may be too many of those up in Olympia right now.

How can government help to create sustainable jobs? By spending less, not more! If government takes less of your money then you have more money to spend. The money you spend helps create sustainable wealth by supporting small and large businesses alike.

There is no quick fix to getting out of a recession no matter what politicians tell you. The best thing government can do is to go on a diet. Diets are always painful but they are necessary if you want to remain healthy.

Diets work best when you have to be accountable to someone. We need politicians in Olympia, who will hold government accountable for what they consume. Even if you can’t always stop them from overindulging, you can tell everybody about the “cheating.” Shaming politicians into good behavior is often the only way you can get them to do the right thing.
