Blazers host Game 3 in a variety of ways

In conjunction with the 2010 NBA Playoffs returning to the Rose Garden for Game 3 between the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns, the team is hosting a few special events to whet the appetite of Trail Blazers fans before tonight’s 7 p.m. tip-off on KGW. The best-of-seven series between the Trail Blazers and Suns is tied at 1-1.

WHAT: The Trail Blazers and Ford will host a Game 3 “Tweet-Up” with Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla. The first 100 followers of the official @pdxtrailblazers Twitter feed are invited to meet the injured Blazers center at this lunchtime fan event.

WHERE: Buffalo Wild Wings

   Downtown Portland

   327 SW Morrison St

WHEN: noon

WHAT: A pregame party on the Rose Quarter Commons will feature live music, inflatable toys for kids, special Blazers guests, a live broadcast of 95.5 The Game, a beer garden and more.

WHERE: Rip City UPRISE Headquarters on the Rose Quarter Commons

WHEN: 5-7 p.m. on Thursday

WHAT: A ‘make it better’ auction just inside the Rose Garden’s south entrance will include game-worn “Rip City”jerseys from several Trail Blazers, and autographed basketballs from Marcus Camby and Brandon Roy.

WHERE: Entry A-25 on the 100-level concourse.

WHEN: From 6 p.m. through halftime.

Additionally: McDonalds and Subway will each be distributing 1,000 placards at various locations

Pizza Hut to handout placards to the first 100 fans who order pizza delivery (at 25 different locations)
