Batum reinjures shoulder; out for game

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum reinjured his right shoulder with 2 minutes, 6 seconds left in the second quarter during Game 3 Wednesday against Phoenix at the Rose Garden.

Batum was in obvious pain after falling to the floor following a layup attempt. He grabbed his shoulder and winced, and then grimaced while shooting a free throw.

Batum was taken to the locker room following a subsequent timeout.

The Blazers announced at halftime Batum would not return to the game.
