Matthews expected to join Blazers tonight

Guard Wesley Matthews is expected to join the Portland Trail Blazers’ roster tonight.

Matthew’s agent, Lance Young, said his client is expected to officially be added to Portland’s lineup by this evening.

Utah had the ability to match the Blazers’ five-year, $34 million restricted free agent offer to Matthews. However, decisions the Jazz have made during free agency have made it increasingly likely Utah will not retain Matthews.
