Blazers announce coaching staff — Dickau on board
When the Trail Blazers announced their coaching staff Wednesday, a familiar Clark County name appeared on the list — Dan Dickau.
The former Gonzaga star — who enjoyed a standout career at Prairie High and a six-year career in the NBA — was added on as a player development coach.
Head coach Nate McMillan retained Bernie Bickerstaff, Bob Ociepka, Buck Williams, Kaleb Canales and Dean Cooper while adding Larry Greer on as an assistant. Greer had spent the past four years as an advanced scout.
Dickau will work with Cooper in developing players, focusing on the Blazers’ point guards.
The former Blazer averaged 5.8 points and 2.5 assists in his 300-game NBA career, and currently resides in Vancouver.
