2015 NBA All-Star voting: Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge sixth in frontcourt, Damian Lillard eighth in backcourt

On Christmas morning the NBA released the first voting returns for the 2015 NBA All-Star game in New York. Only two Trail Blazers players showed up on the first returns and neither of them have been voted as starters by the fans.
Despite their play of late and success without key members of the team Portland’s dynamic duo still isn’t getting a lot of love in the All-Star fan vote.
Forward LaMarcus Aldridge is currently in sixth in the frontcourt voting, which gets three starting spots. Aldridge has over 152,000 votes and trails fifth-place Kevin Durant by 40,000 votes. New Orleans’ Anthony Davis leads the frontcourt voting in the Western Conference with over 524,000 votes.
Guard Damian Lillard isn’t fairing as well as his teammate. Lillard is currently in eighth in the backcourt voting just ahead of the Lakers’ Jeremy Lin. Lillard has just over 82,000 votes and trails Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook who is in seventh.
Golden State’s Stephen Curry is the leading vote-getter in the Western Conference with 549,095 votes. Cleveland’s LeBron James leads all players in All-Star votes with almost 553,000 votes.
Voting for the All-Star game concludes on Jan.19.

The Blazers aren’t playing on Christmas Day. But according to TrailBlazers.com’s Casey Holdahl, be on the lookout for Damian Lillard and his “twin brother” Darius in some of the new State Farm ads with Chris Paul, etc.
