Roy has successful surgery

Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus, the team announced.

Roy, who will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks, will not travel with the team for its first two games to Phoenix.
