Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will miss Sunday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the team announced on Sunday evening.

Aldridge put off surgery on to repair a ligament in his left thumb earlier this season.

This is on his other hand, which is also his shooting hand.

Aldridge played in Portland’s last game, Friday at Utah, and was five of 16 from the field for just 14 points.

The Blazers will likely start Meyers Leonard in Aldridge’s place but they could also go with Dorell Wright. Although it’s unlikely they will go with Wright against Memphis’ Zach Randolph on the low block.

Tip-off is set for 6PM. The team is also honoring the late Jerome Kersey, who passed away earlier this week.
