Talking with reporters before Tuesday’s preseason game vs. the Clippers, Blazers coach Nate McMillan emphasized the defensive commitment he’d like to see from his team. Among the challenges of obtaining such a commitment, he said, was the ambition of the youth.
“Part of what we’re facing with Brandon and LaMarucs and some of these young guys…they’re trying to establish themselves,” McMillan said. “So when you got young guys, they’re trying to do what gets them paid. And offensive scoring gets you paid.”
