Blazers return to Memorial Coliseum for preseason game

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers have announced their seven-game preseason schedule today, highlighted by a return to Memorial Coliseum for an exhibition against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 11.
Fans will have the chance to relive Rip City for the second straight year when Portland hosts Utah at the arena the Trail Blazers called home from 1970 to 1995.
Portland will take the first steps in building on last year’s 50-win season when it opens up the preseason slate with a home game against the L.A. Clippers on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The preseason opener is one of four home games and one of three at the Rose Garden. The Trail Blazers close out their exhibition schedule on Oct. 21, with a home game against the Denver Nuggets.
Preseason road games for the Trail Blazers include back-to-back contests at Utah and Denver on Oct. 7 and 8, followed by a visit to Golden State on Oct. 16.
The team will hold its popular Wells Fargo Fan Fest on Friday, Oct. 1. The intra-squad scrimmage is free to the public and tickets will be available at Wells Fargo stores in Oregon and SW Washington on Sept. 6.
Also on the preseason calendar is the second annual Hoops and Heart dinner Saturday, Oct. 23, when Trail Blazers team, coaches and alumni converge for an evening of fun and fundraising to impact our community’s future with a one-of-a-kind auction to benefit make it better.
