Interview: Blazers president Miller discusses Cho, assistant GM search

Transcript of an interview conducted Monday with Portland Trail Blazers president Larry Miller.

Miller on general manager Rich Cho’s initial work with the team:

It’s actually going great. … He got it late on Saturday evening. Spent the day at the practice facility yesterday, meeting with Mike (Born), Chad (Buchanan) and Joe (Cronin) and those guys. I was there for a little bit. Then he was here for a little bit. I think Rich is going to be great.

On Cho evaluating the Blazers’ roster:

He is definitely well prepared. I think he’s done all of his homework, as far as understanding and studying our team; having a good perspective on our team and our players and what our team needs. As I expected, he’s come in well prepared.

On finding a new assistant general manager:

I have talked to him. He has some names that he is interested in pursuing. And I think he’s moving down the line in pursuing getting those roles filled as quickly as we can.
