Aldridge selected to U.S. national team

Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been selected as one of 27 players who will fill out the United States national team roster.

Aldridge will compete for the right to play in this summer’s world championships and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.

Blazers coach Nate McMillan will serve as an assistant for the U.S. team.
