Notes and video: Feb. 2 Blazers practice

Notes from the Portland Trail Blazers’ practice Tuesday morning at the team’s workout facility in Tualatin, Ore., as well as video footage of Blazers forward Travis Outlaw.

Outlaw worked out hard with assistant coach Monty Williams and lead athletic trainer Jay Jensen. Following the session, Outlaw said he expects to play by March.

Outlaw said he no longer feels serious pain in his surgically repaired foot, but added that the team is being cautious in bringing him back.

Blazers coach Nate McMillan said he will use a starting lineup of Andre Miller, Jerryd Bayless, Martell Webster, LaMarcus Aldridge and Juwan Howard against Utah on Wednesday.

McMillan stated that he has considered making forward Nicolas Batum a starter, but has primarily held off because the Blazers will undergo another lineup change when injured All-Star guard Brandon Roy returns to action.

McMillan said Roy will not travel with the team to Utah.
