Blazers' Fernandez upgraded to questionable

Portland Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Rose Garden.

Fernandez said whether or not he plays will be a group decision, one that will be made prior to tipoff against the Bucks.

Monday, Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said the team was hopeful to have Fernandez back for Friday’s home contest against the Orlando Magic.

But Fernandez has continued to feel better, and he went through an intense practice Tuesday at the team’s workout facility in Tualatin, Ore.

Fernandez has been out since Dec. 8 due to back surgery.

He is averaging 8.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20 games this season.

Elsewhere, Blazers coach Nate McMillan confirmed that the team is considering sending rookie guard Patty Mills back to the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Idaho Stampede.
