Blazers coach Nate McMillan said he expects to primarily use Portland’s Martell Webster and Brandon Roy to guard the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, and will perhaps use Blazer forward Dante Cunningham.
McMillan on Bryant and the Lakers:
We focus on the Lakers, and Kobe is a big part of that. These are the world champions, so you have to focus on the entire team. And Kobe is where they start their offense, and he’s a big part of that. So, it’s not just Kobe. But the entire group.
McMillan said the key to holding Bryant at bay is by limiting his touches.
