Blazers’ Aldridge listed as day-to-day, will be re-evaluated Friday
Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who sprained his left ankle in Wednesday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers, is listed as day-to-day, Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said.
Aldridge’s status will be re-evaluated by the team during Friday’s practice in Tualatin, Ore.
The Blazers did not practice today, but some players visited the team’s workout facility for treatment and maintenance.
“We told L.A. to stay home today,” Pritchard said.
Pritchard stated that Portland’s roster was built to “have some depth.” And he stated that he is proud of the Blazers’ collective response to a season filled with injuries and setbacks. Pritchard specifically pointed out recent contributions made by forwards Jeff Pendergraph and Martell Webster, and guard Jerryd Bayless.
“You’re always challenged in life,” Pritchard said. “It’s how you respond to those challenges that determines your character. And I think we’ve got a high-character team.”
