Things have quieted down in Truman
The Truman Neighborhood Association held an unremarkable meeting last week. That’s news because the last meeting by the association was marked by raw emotions, raised voices and a movement by some residents to oust the association’s current council and install new members who would take a more aggressive stance on issues of public safety.
But the meeting, held last Thursday at an American Legion outpost, was pretty tame. Residents ate muffins and cookies. They heard from their Clark County council Chair Marc Boldt and Councilor Jeanne Stewart. They met their new liaison with the sheriff’s office
And they passed a new set of bylaws by a 90-1 vote all with no accusations, screaming and no drama.
