There’s a new political action committee in town, and its sole mission?

Seeing Republican Councilor David Madore lose.

Vancouver man Chris Prothero is behind two Facebook groups: “David Madore Social Media Archive and Record,” where he literally posts everything Madore posts on his Facebook page since no one at the county is apparently doing so, and “Clark County Citizens – Unfiltered,” a left-leaning political group.

His latest project, according to Public Disclosure Commission filings, is a political action committee called ReUnite Clark County. The organization has raised no money yet. According to its Facebook page, the organization is “dedicated to campaigning against reelection of current Clark County Councilor David Madore.”

“It’s my intention to make it a fact-based anti-Madore campaign,” Prothero posted on Facebook. “If I can get the word out and help influence voters through education and presentation of verifiable facts, I will have done what I can do to help OUR community.”

Prothero notes that the PAC is not endorsing either Republican John Blom or Democrat Tanisha Harris, who are running against Madore in District 3, which covers east Vancouver.

“Having two well qualified candidates who are in the race for the right reasons is a win/win situation,” he posted.
