For as excited as we were to see photographs from “Glamorous Gams,” … we dropped the ball on getting pics up promptly. It’s been tough around here, being down a few reporters, but two new meeting mavens started today. More on them later.

The inaugural event was Sept. 29, and it raised more than $144,000 for the Children’s Center. We’ve seen a few photos pop up on Facebook.

Among the local celebs who participated, there was Superman (Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt), needing to be rescued by Wonder Woman (Clark County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Tonya Rulli).

There was Fred and Wilma Flintstone (former La Center City Councilor Troy Van Dinter and his wife Shari).

And there was Vancouver City Councilor Bart Hansen, trying to show us mavens that he’s neither a Boy Scout nor a Backstreet Boy: He’s, cough, Braveheart. Here’s Braveheart Bart with Rulli and Michelle Conger, who made their costumes.

But the photograph that caught us off-guard? The mavens’ favorite former Vancouver City Councilor, Pat Jollota, made a guest appearance as a member of ABBA. Here’s Jollota, right, with Linda Owen, performing “Take A Chance on Me.”

Contestant and fitness guru Sherri McMillan dressed as Tina Turner and won, as she raised the most money (more than $44,000) but Pat Jollota as a member of ABBA? That’s Simply the Best.
