GAME NOTES: Yelm went 6-4 in 2017. The Tornados finished third in the 3A South Sound Conference. Yelm lost to Bethel 32-22 in a Week 10 state preliminary game. Yelm returns seven starters on offense and defense from last season. LB Derrick Platt led the league with 106 solo tackles last season. Skyview went 5-4 in 2017. The Storm finished third in the 4A Greater St. Helens League. Last season was the first year without a playoff berth in 12 years for Skyview. With three postseason berths awarded to the 4A GSHL, the Storm look to return to the playoffs. Plenty of fresh faces in the Storm’s lineup. Skyview will have 21 new starters. One key returnee in all-league running back Jalynnee McGee.
