Portland, OR – Factory North and the Timbers Army have joined forces to organize Art Takeover:

Operation Bless Field, an art show featuring original Timbers-inspired screen-printed classic styled felt pennants designed by 30 local artists. The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pennants will also be on display and for sale all day at Coava Co!ee (1300 SE Grand Ave) during their regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. All proceeds from pennant sales, which will sell for $30 each, will go to Operation Pitch Invasion’s current project: Bless Field, a youth-sized all-season soccer field for the kids of Portland’s New Columbia neighborhood. http://pitch-invasion.org

The daytime event will be a family friendly block party of food trucks and fun. In addition to the pennants, this year there will be an auction of 6 one-of-a-kind 3’x5’ canvas flags designed by these 6 design groups: Instrument, W+K 12, Nemo, Roundhouse, Epipheo, and Beam & Anchor. The flags will be displayed at an evening event at 1050 SE Water Ave, where we will have Widmer Green & Kolsch, the Bunk Truck, and more. Pennants will feature themes from Timbers Army chants, such as “Rose City till I die,” “Moving onto victory,” and “Bury me in green and gold.” Poster artists include OMFGCo, Will Bryant and Keegan Wenkman, to name just a few.   For more information about Art Takeover: Operation Bless Field, visit http://arttakeoverportland.com.
