Fair Food Feast Parade ~ Day 8

I took one more for the team today and tried the Deep Fried Twizzler Twinkie.  You’re welcome.

The Rancher grilled cheese sandwich from the Get Cheezed vendor over by the grandstands entrance. SO GOOD! And I’m told they ran out of cheese tonight. That’s a great sign word is getting out!

P1060536

Orange Tangerine Smasher. Tasted like a healthy Tang. Very good. I am loving this Smasher vendor!

P1060537

Helping my hubby with the seasoned fries from The Burger Buggy. Nice and salty with a little kick.

P1060573

The Deep Fried Twizzler Twinkie. They basically stuck a Twizzler in the middle of a Twinkie and then battered and fried it. Verdict: Not bad! It was a little difficult to eat since the Twizzler didn’t melt or really change its consistency at all. But once I got some chewed off, it made the Twinkie taste like a cherry Twinkie…and that’s a good thing.

P1060581

Corn! I suppose I should someday try a corn vendor other than Dogville, but theirs is sooooo good!

P1060585

Chicken strips from the Lions booth. I like mine dipped in a ranch dressing-Sriracha sauce mixture. Tasty!

P1060589

Am I the last to know that Barq’s is not caffeine-free? Oops. Oh, well…it’s the FAIR!

P1060617

Sneaking in some strawberry rhubarb pie from the Community of Christ pie booth. It doesn’t matter which pie flavor you order; they are all homemade and amazing.

I am a Clark County Fair Fanatic and eat all things fried during the glorious 10 days of The Fair. I have lived in Clark County since 2004 and consider it the second-best decision of my life. I am married to a great guy named Rob (first-best decision) who graciously carries my stuff and takes my picture every time I eat something at The Fair. We have two indoor cats and lots of deer, rabbits, and coyotes who are kind enough to stay outside.
