10 days until the BEST 10 days! And the first one is FREE!

Howdy Fair Fans!!!

I’m back and so is The Best Fair Ever!!  Yes, just 10 days until the Clark County Fair gets underway.  WHOO HOO!!  Roller coaster arm waving going on right here!

I am super excited to be blogging again for The Columbian for this year’s Fair!  Like last year, I will be blogging live and on the scene from the Fairgrounds several times each day with whatever strikes me as Tips and Tricks You Need to Know about All Things Clark County Fair.

In the meantime, did you know that free tickets for Opening Day are available right this very minute??  Yes, that’s right — you can get into the Fair for free on Friday, August 7 thanks to the very generous folks at Fred Meyer.  Not only that, they will serve you a free pancake breakfast!  How awesome are they?!  In return for their kindness, Freddie’s kindly asks you to bring some canned food to donate to the Clark County Food Bank.  Green beans and peaches for everyone!

To get your free tickets, just sidle up to the Customer Service counter at any local (Clark County) Fred Meyer.  You need to be a Fred Meyer Rewards member (free to sign up if you don’t already have a card).  And there is a limit of 4 free tickets per Rewards number.

The tickets will get you into the Fairgrounds for free until 12 noon on Friday, August 7.  Gates open at 8:00am but if you want to partake of the free pancakes, you probably want to show up a bit early.  And the pancakes are served until 11:00am sharp.

Me, I’ll probably skip the pancakes and head right to the Food Court.  Corn!  Elephant ears!  Irish Sundaes!  Bricks-o-fries!!  I CAN’T WAIT!!!

Free tix from Freddie's!

I am a Clark County Fair Fanatic and eat all things fried during the glorious 10 days of The Fair. I have lived in Clark County since 2004 and consider it the second-best decision of my life. I am married to a great guy named Rob (first-best decision) who graciously carries my stuff and takes my picture every time I eat something at The Fair. We have two indoor cats and lots of deer, rabbits, and coyotes who are kind enough to stay outside.
