GAME NOTES: Mountain View is powering its way toward the postseason. The Thunder have outscored their last five opponents by an average of 56-5. Mountain View outgained Prairie last week 710-54. After back-to-back 200-yard games, Jack Mertens has rushed for 818 yards and 9 touchdowns. QB Garrett Moen has passed for 1,430 yards and 12 touchowns. He’s coming off his first 100-yard rushing game. Evergreen’s Eli Vaa-Leiataua leads the Plainsmen with 754 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Evergreen gave up nearly 300 rushing yards and 450 total yards to Kelso last week. Evergreen completed only 4 of 20 passes vs. Kelso.
