2016 MEETING: Washougal 26, Woodland 6

GAME NOTES: Washougal is looking to bounce back from last week’s tough loss to Hockinson. The Panthers will clinch a playoff berth with a win and will secure at least the No. 2 seed to the district playoffs with a win and a Columbia River loss. The Panthers will like to re-establish its ground attack after Kade Coons was held to 45 yards rushing last season. Coons ranks second in the region in rushing with 675 yards and 10 touchdowns. Woodland QB Wyatt Harsh has passed for 1,458 yards and 13 TDs. Harsh’s 1,794 yards of total offense represents 94.7 percent of Woodland’s 1,895 yards of team offense. Harsh threw four interceptions last week. And the Beavers were their own worst enemy at times. Woodland had seven plays on or inside River’s 2 but failed to score largely because of six false-start penalties.
